On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Veterans on Deck hosted a “Meet the Fleet” event at the Charleston Yacht Club to introduce our
newest sailboat, First Light. One of our other boats, DD214, was also on display. Despite some rainy weather we had a good turnout.

The event began with the singing of the National Anthem. Everyone enjoyed a dockside “blessing of the fleet” by Reverend Paul Gilbert, and a champagne toast by Angelina Garcia. We then proceeded indoors for light refreshments and live music from the Hopeaholics in the Clubhouse.
