Serving the military community in Charleston

The focus of our program is on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) clients, but all veterans and active-duty military are welcome to come sail with us. There is NO CHARGE for sailing with us.

Our Mission

Veterans on Deck works to prevent and treat the invisible wounds that affect members of our Armed Forces, during and after their service, through a sailing program that offers holistic support and resiliency training. There is no fee to participate and come sail with us.

Our Location

Our two 30-foot sailboats are docked at The Harborage at Ashley Marina, 33 Lockwood Drive, Charleston SC. We sail in Charleston Harbor, weather permitting. Check our Veterans on Deck Facebook page for any weather-related cancellations.

Our Sailing Schedule

We currently sail three days a week from 1 PM to 3 PM as follows.:
Tuesdays: Men’s Sail
Wednesdays: Women’s Sail
Fridays: All Comer’s Sail
No pre-registration is required but due to limited availability, signing up via our calendar will take precedence over walk-ins.

If you’re interested in sailing with us and would like to reserve a spot on our boat, choose Come Sailing from the option menu at the top-right corner of this page, then click on Reserve a Day and Time.
