Veterans Day – Freedom and Fellowship

The Veterans on Deck community includes many veterans, active-duty military,
volunteers and supporters. Veterans Day is an opportunity to bring the community
together to celebrate Freedom and Fellowship. Therefore, we’ve planned a gathering at
the Charleston Yacht Club for Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 4:30 PM. All
members of the Veterans on Deck community are encouraged to attend with family
members.
We want to acknowledge the contributions towards Freedom made by the veterans and
active-duty personnel. Please send a digital photo of yourself in uniform, whether your
service is currently ongoing or from 50 years ago. Email to:
[email protected].
Veterans on Deck centers on therapeutic sailing, and all three sailboats are scheduled
to sail on November 11th . Sailings will run from 2–4 PM, allowing participants time to
reach the Charleston Yacht Club after docking. We’ve also arranged a 2–4 PM cruise
aboard Hope, a motor yacht owned and operated by Rob Atkinson. Reservations for all
four boats are available on the VoD website.
Join us for this Veterans Day recognition of Freedom and Fellowship. Come meet other
members of the Veterans on Deck Community and share some stories as well as food
and beverages.
